Day 1 of the WBSC Africa U15 Baseball Qualifiers in Nairobi produced an impressive start for South Africa, who opened their campaign with two commanding victories.
In their first game, South Africa defeated South Sudan 13–0 before returning for a 28–2 win over hosts Kenya. The team ended the day at the top of the standings with two wins from two matches (6 points). Uganda also remain unbeaten, while Kenya and South Sudan are still searching for their first wins.
