The South African Baseball National Championship 2023’s juniors division has come to an exciting close after five days of baseball action at the Boksburg Cardinals in Gauteng. The tournament showcased some of the best young talent in South African baseball, with players from different regions of the country competing against each other.
The tournament featured several divisions, with teams competing in various age groups. In the U10 division, Gauteng A emerged victorious, with Cape Town A as the runners-up, while in the U12 division, Western Cape A came out on top against Gauteng A.
In the U15 A division, Western Cape A scored a win over Gauteng A and in then the U15 B division, Gauteng Girls emerged as the winners after a tough match against Mandela Bay.
In the U18 division, Western Cape A secured yet another championship victory, beating Gauteng A in a thrilling match.
The success of the South African Baseball National Championship 2023’s thus far is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the players, coaches, and organizers involved in promoting and developing the sport in South Africa. The tournament was a showcase of South African baseball talent, highlighting the growth of the sport in the country.
Now, the focus shifts to the seniors, with the senior division of the championship set to begin on Friday 7 April 2023, and with the finals earmarked for Tuesday 11 April 2023 fans can expect more exciting baseball action from some of the best players in the country.
