South Africa is the current Africa Baseball5 reigning champion, having won the title in Tunisia in 2022 and thereafter successfully competed in the inaugural Baseball5 World Cup in Mexico in 2023.

The selection comes after a number of provincial trials and various camps and sees a number of experienced players return to the lineup, which will no doubt see South Africa travel to Cape Verde full of confidence.

  • Louis Albertyn – Gauteng
  • Sylvester Maredi – Limpopo
  • Saville Van Rhyn – Western Cape

Management:

  • Americo Juma – Head Coach Gauteng

Baseball5 is a mixed-gender sport that can be played anywhere and only needs a soft ball with no bat. This fast-action-packed version of Baseball has been taking South Africa by storm and now allows easy entry into baseball and an extra value-add opportunity for clubs, schools, and corporates.
