In an exciting development for baseball in South Africa, South African Baseball is calling on talented coaches and officials to join its National Coaching structures and Elite Training Squad programme. This initiative presents a remarkable opportunity for skilled individuals passionate about baseball to engage at the highest levels of baseball in South Africa.
The invitation is open to coaches across all divisions, including Seniors, U23, U18, U15, and U12, catering to both male and female, boys and girls teams. It’s a chance for coaches to make a significant impact, guiding the next generation of baseball talent on both a national and provincial scale.
The call provides an opportunity for coaches to be involved at either national or provincial level and to work within the Elite Training Squad system in the build up to the various national selections and competitions. Selected coaches will work with national coaches across the various satellite squads in a system that sees high performance tracking and sharing of knowledge, all with a view to find and prepare players for next level competition.
In addition to coaching in the high performance environment selected coaches will also learn about the importance of capturing player data, statistics and metrics and how to do this online.
This process follows on from the selection of elite players at the recent National Baseball Championships held in Mandela Bay.
This call to action is not just about filling positions; it’s about finding leaders who can inspire, develop, and elevate South African Baseball to new heights. Interested coaches and officials are encouraged to step forward and contribute to the sport’s growth and success in South Africa.
For those ready to take their coaching career to the national stage, this is your moment. Join us in shaping the future of South African Baseball.
