The tournament, sanctioned by WBSC Africa, serves as the African Qualifier for the WBSC U-23 Baseball World Cup 2026, which will be held in Nicaragua.
In the opening fixture of the day, Zimbabwe delivered a well-structured performance to overcome Benin 12–5, securing their second win of the competition and strengthening their claim for a place in the final.

In the day’s second match, South Africa continued their dominant run with a 19–4 victory over Zimbabwe, remaining unbeaten and sealing their spot in Sunday’s Championship Final. The result confirmed South Africa’s position at the top of the standings heading into the last day.
