Persistent rain on Saturday forced the postponement of the scheduled finals of the Senior Section of the South African National Baseball Championships 2025. Event organisers managed the evolving conditions throughout the day, moving fixtures incrementally before confirming a full postponement due to unplayable fields.
The tournament will now conclude on Sunday, 13 April 2025, with both finals to be held at Lansdowne Baseball Club in Cape Town:
- 09:00 – Women’s Final: Gauteng Diamonds 1 vs Cape Town Women
- 11:30 – Men’s Final: Cape Town A vs Cape Town C
The Senior NBC brings together top provincial and district baseball teams from across South Africa for a week-long competition. 2025 saw the event allocated to the Western Cape Baseball Federation and hosted by the Cape Town Baseball Federation with the activation opportunities in turn allocated to the locals clubs Lansdowne Eagles, VOB Macaws, and Battswood Baseball Club. The revised schedule sets the stage for a strong finish as teams from Gauteng and the Western Cape prepare to contest national honours in Cape Town.
