South Africa U23 head to Taipei for WBSC U23 Baseball World Cup

The South African National U23 Baseball World Cup team today departed for the IV WBSC U-23 Baseball World Cup to be held in Taipei from 13 – 23 October 2022.

South African Baseball has already seen three WBSC World Cups, an MLB World Classic, and a Baseball5 African Championship and now it is finally the turn for our U23 upcoming stars to take to the world stage, after waiting patiently all year.

The past few months have seen the team which is comprised of players from various regions in South Africa and across the world prepare for the WBSC World Cup with an enormous amount of passion and energy and has seen players prepare together with their local clubs and senior counterparts.

The IV WBSC U-23 Baseball World Cup will see twelve teams from across the world competing for the title of U23 World Champions with South Africa getting started against Venezuela in their first match on Friday followed by their match against Columbia on Saturday.
