The South African Women’s Baseball teams, seniors and U18, closed out the African Women’s Baseball Championship in Harare with another strong set of performances on Day 3, confirming an excellent overall campaign for both sides the double titles of African Champions.
In the U18 division, Day 3 opened with a high-scoring matchup where Zimbabwe edged South Africa 25–12. The young South Africans responded well in the afternoon fixture, delivering a convincing 23–4 victory to close the series on a strong note. With this result, the U18s concluded the tournament having won four of their five games, securing the overall series win.

The Senior Women continued their dominant form, producing two outstanding shutout victories to close out the tournament. South Africa controlled the morning game 16–0 with disciplined pitching and consistent offensive pressure, and followed it with another 16–0 win later in the day. The seniors finish the championship unbeaten, winning all five of their fixtures to claim the African Championship title.

These final-day results reflect the growing strength and depth within South Africa’s women’s baseball programme. Across both divisions, the teams showed composure, improvement, and strong competitive character throughout the three-day championship.
The Senior Team was led by Head Coach Hayley Scott-Maree, while the U18 Team was guided by Head Coach Geraldine Grobler, both of whom played key roles in preparing their squads and maintaining focus across the tournament.
