The South African Baseball Union is proud to announce the 30-player Under-23 National Squad that will continue preparations for the 2026 WBSC U23 Baseball World Cup Qualifier in Nicaragua.
Following months of scouting, national trials and player evaluations conducted by the national coaching staff, the selected squad will continue its preparation programme ahead of the tournament. A final travelling squad of 24 players will be announced following the completion of the final preparation and selection phase.
The team will travel to Nicaragua from 2 to 19 November 2026, where South Africa will compete against leading nations from the Americas and Africa in pursuit of qualification for the WBSC U23 Baseball World Cup.
The 30-player squad includes Tauriq Adams, Rowan Banfield, Junaid Bedford, Joshua Botha, Tyron Brickhill, Jamie Brookes, Aiden Carelse, Creedon Cockrell, Dean du Plessis, Tristan Fradd, Ethan Grobler, Stiaan Henning, Nicholas Jeffries, Scott Lee, Ruan Mauritz, Aiden Mc Allister, Bryce Mc Cleland, Shane Mc Quirk, Josh November, Abdud Dayaan Osman, Cullen Pieterse, Darian Pretorius, Happy Ramaphoko, Aiden Schwartz, Connor Stopforth, Josh Tribe, Stef van Duivenbooden, Donovan Wallendorff, Robert White and Kyle Wiedeman.
