South Women ready for Zimbabwe series despite major travel setbacks

South Africa’s Senior and U18 Women’s Baseball Teams faced a challenging start to their Zimbabwe tour after unexpected flight disruptions reshaped their travel plans. The squads met in Johannesburg as scheduled, but a sudden removal from their connecting flight resulted in long hours spent at the airport as staff worked to secure alternatives. With limited availability, only part of the delegation was able to depart on the day, while the remaining players and staff were forced to stay over, arrange additional meals, and wait for new flight options.

The second half of the group has now secured seats on a different airline and is finally on the way. They hope to link up with their teammates shortly to attend the remaining ceremonies and prepare collectively for the opening game of the series.

The three-day international series in Harare is scheduled as follows:

Day 1 – 11
