Mandela Bay kept themselves in the mix with a dominant 17–7 result over CTBF Red and a big 14–0 win over Gauteng B, while CTBF Red and Gauteng B continue to fight for momentum heading into the final stretch.
The U12 division has been more clear-cut, with Gauteng A asserting complete dominance. Six wins from six games and a strong runs differential underline just how consistent they have been, adding two more convincing wins on Day 3, including an 18–10 result over Limpopo and a 15–3 win against Mandela Bay. Western Cape A remain firmly in second place and look like the strongest challengers after a composed 6–2 win over Gauteng C and an 11–1 victory over Gauteng B. Western Cape B and Gauteng C are still within reach of the top positions, while Mandela Bay, Gauteng B and Limpopo continue to push for improved finishes as the competition tightens.
In the U15 division, Gauteng A have put together one of the standout performances of the tournament so far, remaining unbeaten with six wins from six and a commanding runs differential. Their 9–4 win over Western Cape A and a dominant 19–5 result against Mandela Bay highlighted both their batting depth and defensive structure. Western Cape A remain close behind with five wins, including a big 17–1 victory over Gauteng C, keeping the pressure on at the top. The middle of the table is tightly contested, with Western Cape B, Limpopo and Gauteng B all level on three wins, while Mandela Bay and Gauteng C will be looking to close out their campaigns on a high.
The U18 division is being controlled by Western Cape A, who have been clinical throughout and remain unbeaten after five games. Their 17–2 win over Limpopo on Day 3 was another statement performance, backed up by disciplined pitching and consistent hitting. Gauteng A are still in contention in second place after picking up two important wins, including an 11–3 result over Western Cape B and a 6–3 victory against Gauteng B. The race for the remaining positions is tight, with Western Cape B, Mandela Bay and Gauteng B all competing closely, while Limpopo continue to gain valuable experience at this level.
The women’s division produced some of the most competitive action of the day, including a 13–13 draw between Western Cape U18 A Women and Gauteng 15B Women, showing just how evenly matched the teams are. Gauteng U18 Women continued their strong run with a 12–5 win over Western Cape U15A Women, while Gauteng 15A Women maintained their position at the top of the standings with a 12–10 win over Gauteng 15B Women. Western Cape U18 A Women responded well with a 14–11 victory over Western Cape U15A Women, keeping themselves in the hunt. The logs reflect a tight contest at the top, with Gauteng 15A Women and Gauteng U18 Women leading the way, while Western Cape sides remain competitive going into the final rounds.
Overall, Day 3 has set up a strong finish to the junior championships, with clear leaders in several divisions but still enough competition to keep finals day wide open.
